Buying insurance and then finding the same cover cheaper elsewhere is frustrating, so we introduced the Price Match Promise to help make sure that doesn't happen. If you find an identical or better policy, offered on the same terms, from another FCA-authorised provider, we'll match the price, subject to the conditions set out below.

As an FCA-authorised intermediary, we take our obligations to customers seriously. This promise reflects that commitment, but it comes with clear conditions, which we'd rather be upfront about than bury in small print.

Eligibility, What Qualifies

What counts as like-for-like?

We want the Price Match Promise to be clear and fair. Here's exactly what qualifies and what doesn't.

Quotes that qualify

The competitor's product is identical or better than ours, on the same terms
The competitor is an FCA-authorised entity, and the product itself is FCA authorised
We're able to independently verify the competitor's price
The property is based in England, Wales or Northern Ireland
The match applies to the price of the product itself

Quotes that don't qualify

Delivery charges or other add-on services (we match product price only, not these)
Combined with any other offer or discount
Applicants who are employees or relatives of another insurance broker or associated participant
Where the price is more than 20% below our list price, we reserve the right to decline the match
Properties outside England, Wales and Northern Ireland

The conditions that apply whenever we match a competitor's price.

  2. 2The competitor's product must be identical or better to ours, and offered on the same terms.
  3. 3We must be able to verify the competitor's price.
  4. 4We'll match the price of a product; not delivery charges or other services.
  5. 5Cannot be used with any other offer.
  6. 6Only applicable to England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
  7. 7Competitor must be an FCA authorised entity along with the product.
  8. 8Where price is reduced in excess of 20% of our list price, we retain our right to deny this offer.
  9. 9Applicants cannot be employees or relatives of any other insurance broker and associated participant.

The competitor's product must be identical or better than ours, offered on the same terms, from an FCA-authorised provider whose product is also FCA authorised, and we must be able to verify the price.
Does it apply at renewal as well as for new customers?+
Your current live T&Cs don't explicitly separate these. Worth confirming internally whether renewal customers are covered by the promise before stating this either way on the new page.
Are there any exclusions?+
Yes. The match doesn't apply to delivery charges or other services, can't be combined with other offers, only applies in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and we can decline where the competitor's price is more than 20% below our list price.
